Japanese elections - the communist!
The Japanese elections started and campaigning will last
twelve days! In the USA the presidential
elections season runs for about one year.
Also in the USA it is basically a two-party system. While in Japan a parliamentary system, have
multiple political parties. Here are the
political parties participating in the current election:
Democratic Party of Japan 民主党, Minshutō
Nihon Kyōsan-tō
Jiyū-Minshutō
New Komeito Party 公明党, Shin Kōmeitō
New Party DAICHI 新党大地 Shintō Daichi
New Party Nippon 新党日本 Shintō Nippon
New Renaissance Party 新党改革, Shintō Kaikaku
People's New Party Kokumin Shintō
Nippon Ishin no Kai
Shakai Minshu-tō
Tomorrow Party
Minna no Tō
The “Japanese Communist Party” is rather interesting for
their honesty. At least the label
themselves “communist.” While in the USA
the communist of the 21st century masquerade themselves as the
Democratic Party.
Another interesting aspect:
The current prime minister of Japan when seeking election a few years
back made campaign promises, as all politicians do. Also as all politicians, he was not able to
keep all his promises. He recently
apologized for not keeping his campaign promises. That is not what all politicians do, at least
not in the United States.
In the USA Democratic Party presidents do not apologize for
promises not kept, they just blame previous Republican presidents. Japanese Prime Minister = honorable. USA Democrat Party President =
dishonorable.
