Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo, Japan

Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo, Japan

Shun and Tony driving across the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo, Japan.

Shun:  “That’s the Fuji TV building on the right.”
Tony:  “There is only one building on the right?”  (wise guy)

Music:  “River Rides” from JewelBeat.com.

An Observation

An Observation

On a wall next to gasoline pumps sits a fire extinguisher.  To be used to snuff out a small fire reducing the danger of an explosion.

Problem is the fire extinguisher is housed in a receptacle requiring a key.  Now how stupid is that?  By the time the key is located while people are panicking amid a fire, it will be too late.

U.S. Navy challenges China

U.S. Navy challenges China

Some years ago when the Communist government in China started building up and modernizing their military their neighbors in Asia were concerned.  To alleviate the fears of their neighbors the commies stated their military buildup was purely for peace.

The problem is China’s neighbors thought they meant “peace,” when what they really meant was “piece.”  A piece of the Philippines (Scarborough Shoal).  A piece of Vietnam (territorial waters off Vietnam).  A piece of Japan (the Senkaku Islands).  A piece of India (invading the border region between the two nations).

The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea – UNCLOS, allows for a twelve mile off shore territorial claim off natural shores not artificial islands.

However the commies in China have a different interpretation of reality.  They are ignoring the EEZ’s established by the United Nations and established their own zone claiming virtually all of the South China Sea.  They are blatantly violating the EEZ’s of Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines.  With the Spratly Islands belonging to the Philippines, the commies are claiming these islands also.

The government of the Philippines allowed China’s aggressive, bully behavior because China’s military is too massive.  The peaceful or piece-full commie military with evil sinister designs on their neighbors.  Remember, commies never make good neighbors.

By claiming twelve nautical miles off their artificial islands China is violating the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.  To maintain navigational freedom in international waters and freedom of navigation the United States sent the destroyer USS Lassen to sail within twelve miles of China’s artificial islands built within stolen waters.

China bullying
China’s reaction was harsh words and no action.  The U.S. Navy stood up to a bully and why did the Philippines not join in?

When China first move aggressively against Philippine territory the Philippines should have employed their navy.   If the commies would have fire upon the Philippine Navy it would have brought world-wide condemnation and possibly an embargo.  The reaction would have had a negative impact upon their fragile economy resulting in a possible collapse of the commie government.

Whatever the outcome it would have demonstrated the Philippines will not be allowed to fall victim to bullies.

China’s interest in these islands has more to do with oil, gas, and fishing than it does with national integrity.  These are the conflicts of the 21st century we can look forward to with the commies in China initiating and or instigating conflicts.

Why do they do that?

Why do they do that?

During this political season this phenomenon will be common place.  This has to do with when a person gives a speech or talk in public usually behind the speaker are people standing or sitting.  In the majority of cases this human backdrop is intentional.

They can be labeled the “stand behind” or “sit behind.”  What is their purpose?  Do they enjoy looking at the back of the head of the speaker?  Are they being used as props?

Cosplay Watson in fear of Japan's whaling

Cosplay Watson in fear of Japan's whaling

The headline on The Sydney Morning Herald’s website reads:

Japan rejects international court jurisdiction over whaling

The International Court of Justice ruled Japan whaling in the Southern Ocean is illegal and now Japan rejects that illegal verdict.  This caused his Excellency cosplay Paul Watson to post on his Facelessbook page a scathing rebuke of the Japanese.

Cosplay Watson wrote: “Japan Arrogantly Spits in the Faces of the Judges for the International Court of Justice

Did not the criminal Watson spit in the face of the German judge who released him from jail on bond?  Then soon after cosplay Watson skipped bail and ran out of Germany.

Watson wrote: “If Japan kills another whale in the Southern Ocean they will officially become pirate whalers, a rogue nation with absolutely no respect for the rule of law, no respect for conservation and no respect for science.

Japan has no respect for the law?  It was cosplay Watson himself who continually boast about the whaling vessels he sunk while in port.  His minions this past summer in the Faroe Islands have been arrested for their no respect of the law.

Watson continues with: “Japan's position is that they will do whatever they wish, whenever they wish, however they wish and the rest of the world be damned.”

That is exactly how Sea Shepherd behaves in Japan, the Faroe Islands and the Southern Ocean.  Perhaps delusional Watson believes only he and his cult group are permitted to “do whatever they wish, whenever they wish, however they wish and the rest of the world be damned.”

Bail-jumper Watson ended with: “An international policing effort must take action to prevent Japan's on-going crimes in the Southern Ocean.”

Why an “international policing effort,” when the cult group has been given a number of ocean going vessels to interfere with the Japanese in the Southern Ocean?  Seems like come this whaling season Watson plans to exempt Sea Shepherd from interfering with the Japanese whalers.  Why?  Is he a coward?

Japan has reinterpreted Article 9 of their constitution allowing them to take a more active military role in protecting Japan and their business interest.  The cowards are fearing an interdiction in the Southern Ocean by the Japanese military.  That is why Watson wrote calling for “an international policing effort.”

How do you spell “coward?”  Here is how “ w a t s o n.”
