Watson Foundation recently aboard their vessel the John Paul DeJoria in Dublin, Ireland,
decided to save whales. The Faroe
Islands about five-hundred miles north of Dublin, slaughtering multiple whales. Instead of attempting to save whales in the
Faroe Islands, Watson and his crew of 25 decided to locate the Japanese factory
whaling vessel, the Kangei Maru. The
vessel reported to be in the north Pacific Ocean.
Watson and crew then set sail to
travel close to 2,000 miles via the Northwest Passage to encounter the Japanese
vessel. While they were sailing past
Greenland, they took a detour and sailed towards Nuuk, the capital of
Greenland. Claiming they needed to
refuel. Once docked in Nuuk, the
rust-bucket garbage scow was greeted and boarded by the police. They arrested Paul Watson:
“We were here, and arrested Paul
due to an international arrest order from Japan," stated the leader of the
