A permanent void left for the rest of their lives inflicted upon the parents, siblings, grandparents, and extended families.  The lives of these precious souls eliminated by pure evil.

The tragedy to be compounded by the ban-the-gun crowd eagerly rushing in to politicize this horror to advance their agenda.  Another form of evil to a lesser degree however still evil.  A gun did not commit the evil that took these 27 people from their families; it was a finger that pulled the trigger, that finger attached to the personification of evil.
