What, the American News Media bias? Naaaaw!

About five weeks before the 2006 Congressional elections in the United States of America (USA) a scandal was created by the news media. It had to do with a Florida Republican member of the House of Representatives named Mark Foley. Mr. Foley was involved in sending and receiving suggestive text messages from Congressional Pages. The Republicans were the majority in the House at this time and knew about Mr. Foleys questionable behavior. Now mind you, Mr. Foley never met in an inappropriate way or ever touched a Congressional Page. Yet the news media for five weeks right up to Election Day made this story front page news, numerous editorials, and a daily assault on the nightly news. All this caused conservatives and Republicans to question the behavior of their representatives in Washington, DC. Many did not bother to vote, those who did, voted Democrat to punish Republicans.

Running against Mark Foley was a Democrat named Tim Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney ran on a ticket of morality and disgust for Mr. Foleys behavior. Democrat Tim Mahoney won the election.

Now a few weeks ago before the 2008 election, which is a Congressional and Presidential election it has become known of an indiscretion by Democratic Party Congressman Tim Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney paid $125,000 to a former mistress in hush money which did not work. His mistress was upset because while Mr. Mahoney was cheating on his wife with this mistress, he was also cheating on his wife and mistress with another lady.

Yet the national news media was and is relatively silent. We do not see constant front page headlines, read editorials or continued mention on the evening news as we did with the Mark Foley story. Now mind you, Mark Foley did not touch anyone or sleep with anyone other than his wife. Mr. Mahoney cheated on his wife with two women, paid hush money, and the news media is silent. The reason being the American news media is invested with a Democratic win come this Election Day and they refuse to report anything that might upset a Democratic victory.

Republicans not only have to defeat the Democrats in this election, they must also defeat the American bias news media. Our Founding Fathers guaranteed us a free press but not a bias free press. For that omission, we are paying dearly today.

The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC and their associated comrades are solely responsible for a working democracy in the United States. How sad is it when we need to read the truth we have to rely on foreign news agencies to get the truth about the USA?
