Democratic Party National Convention 2008 in Denver

Them dar Democrats will hold their 2008 convention in the city of Denver, in the State of Colorado, August 25, to 28, 2008. There are many Democrats who are dissatisfied with the Democratic Party due to Hillary Clinton not getting the nomination and the way delegates were allocated in two states. These discontented Democrats formed a group called, "Recreate 68."

This is a reference to the 1968 Democratic Convention held in Chicago 40 years ago. This was at the height of the Vietnam War and plenty of protestors and hippies. The then mayor of Chicago, Democrat Richard J. Daley was a law and order, no nonsense mayor. That was a time when Democrats were not hijacked by political correctness and the far left crowd, they were patriots then. Mayor Daley ordered his police to arrest the demonstrators causing trouble in the city during the Democratic Party's convention. The whole nation was glued to the evening news watching the Chicago Police giving these hippies their what-fors on the business end of a billy club.

So with this in mind, the "Recreate 68" group wants to create the same atmosphere in Denver as was in Chicago 40 years ago. But they forget one thing. The police in the United States have been neutered by political correctness. Recently in Seoul, South Korea, there have been communist inspired anti-USA beef demonstrations due to an hallucinated fear of mad cow. When the demonstrators started getting violent, the South Korean police handled the situation as would have been handled in the USA 40 years ago. Perhaps the Denver Police can consult with the Seoul Police Department on how to handle a mob. Or better yet, why not employ Sherriff Buford T. Justice?
