SMAP, Why I Love Japan
In the USA and the west pop music groups or idols are
accustom to looking like slobs. Guys are
unshaven, shirts wrinkled and hanging out.
Females look haggard emitting an aura of promiscuity. This total disregard for self-respect is also
passed on to the youth.
This form of self-degradation has as of date not infested
the Land of the Rising Sun across the Pacific Ocean: Japan.
Case in point: In
Japan there is a music idol group known as SMAP. The current five members are Masahiro Nakai,
Takuya Kimura, Goro Inagaki, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori. They are well dressed and clean shaven. Their look generally reflects the male
population in Japan. Recently rumors
spread throughout Japan the group was breaking up.
These rumors caused concern among their many fans. To dispel these rumors the group of five held
a press conference. They were all
dressed in dark color suits, wearing neck ties, and clean shaven. They dispelled the rumors and apologized for
their fans being upset, and in Japanese tradition, all bowed.
Such a magnificent country with a classy culture.
