The modern day torch relay for the Olympic games started in 1936 for Adolf Hitler and to honor his Nazis. The 1936 torch rely throughout it's travels were uneventful and peaceful. Now 72 years later we have the summer Olympics in Beijing China, and the torch relay has been nothing but a political mess. One would have to question, how come Hitler's Olympic torch traveled freely and uneventful, while the communist Olympic torch has been troubled since the first day? Also why is it he murder of millions traveled freely in an open car (Hitler), while the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope, Pope Benedict XVI must travel in a bullet proof popemobile?
