Raymond Allen Davis working in the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan was arrested by Pakistani authorities for defending himself against two would be murders / robbers. Coming from an ATM machine Mr. Davis was confronted by two or three armed men. Mr. Davis then pulled his weapon fired at the would be assailants and murdered two of the attackers.
He was arrested and charged with murder for defending himself. The Pakistani government refused to recognize his diplomatic immunity or acknowledged he acted in self-defense.
In adherence to Sharia law the United States (President Obama and Bill’s wife, madam secretary of State Hillary Clinton) paid the widowers of the two attackers $2.3 million. Once the blood money was received the widowers dropped the charges against Mr. Davis, and he was set free.
