Sea Shepherd going after Mexican and Chinese shark fin fishing?

Now that She Shepherd to deluded with self-proclaimed victory in their attempt to halt Japanese whaling, what will they do with all their free time? After all Admiral Beauregard Watson (formerly Captain Kangaroo) of Sea Shepherd was quoted as saying he is 75% sure the Japanese will not return to the Southern Ocean to whale hunt next season.

So what is an admiral to do with his fleet? The Faroe Islands? Nope, the cowards of She Shepherd are too cowardly for that. Here is an idea:

According to an article appearing in The Dallas Morning News, reprinted from The New York Times, the city of San Francisco is about to place a ban on the sale and distribution of shark fins. Shark fins is a sought after delicacy among the Chinese people. Hawaii already has such a ban in place.

The reason is when sharks are captured for their fins, the fins “are typically hacked off a live shark, leaving it to die slowly as it sinks to the bottom of the sea.” That folks is barbaric. Now if the rest of the shark was used for food, no problem. However to toss the shark back in the sea after slicing off the fin, to let it die a slow death is just wrong. So where is Sea Shepherd to stop this?

Sea Shepherd’s mission statement reads in part:

“Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.”

Per the article the gathering of shark fins are done by Mexican and Chinese fishermen, that is why Sea Shepherd will be nowhere to be found in an attempt to confront these fishermen. They know what their faith would be if they confront Mexican or Chinese fishermen. So She Shepherd being the cowards and bullies that they are go after a passive people, and passive nation the Japanese, Japan.
