Background to Shun’s Texas visit:
Japanese Kentucky Colonel Shun arrives in the USA to deliver
a donation check in the amount of $13,600.
This donation is for the victims of the tornados that hit Moore,
Oklahoma. The Honorable Order of
Kentucky Colonels put out a call for donations and Colonel Shun passed it on to
the people of Japan.
The $13,600 was donated by people all across Japan, with
Colonel Shun adding 10% of what each person donated. The people of Japan will never forget Operation
Tomadochi when the United States aided and assisted the victims of the 11
March, 2011 earthquake tsunami.
The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels will pass this
donation on with additional funds to the Salvation Army in Moore, Oklahoma.
To the people of Japan and Colonel Shun: “Domo arigato gozaimasu.”
