David Letterman defended by NBC Matt Lauer for his degrading remark towards a child

Governor Sara Palin appear on NBC with Matt Lauer. During this show Matt Lauer defends David Letterman while attempting to minimize the degrading insult slung by Letterman towards the Governors 14 year old child.

Here is the link, please watch it in its entirety as the Governors performance increases while not allowing Matt Lauer to control the dialog:

Governor Sarah Palin with her daughter and former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani attended a baseball game at Yankee Stadium.

David Letterman on his television show during his monolog commented about the Palin's attending the Yankee baseball game and said,

"During the 7th inning her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."

The self appointed media elite, pop culture and the news media were conspicuously silent on this. However a few lone voices did raise a concern over the remark. Later David Letterman offers an explanation stating the joke was meant for Governor Palins daughter Bristol who is 18 years old. Because she is 18 years old David Letterman was attempting to get a pass on his degenerate behavior. Fact is Bristol was not the daughter who attended the game with Governor Palin; it was her daughter Willow who is 14 years old!

So classy Letterman joked about a 14 year old girl being knocked up by a major league baseball player. Then Letterman tried to brush it off by saying it was just a joke.

Let Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hennity, Glenn Beck, or Michael Savage make a similar joke about a Democratic Party politician and they would have been driven off the air. Further proof of the hypocrisy of liberals. Proving the title of Michael Savage's best selling book to be correct, "Liberalism is a mental disorder."

Letterman has also made jokes in reference to Bristol Palin being an unwed mother, while he himself at one time was an unwed father.

As Michelle Malkin described what Letterman did as: "Palin derangement syndrome."

Michelle Malkin is another articulate and intelligent conservative the liberals and leftist fear.
