Scotland the Snitch
Legislation in Scotland: Hate Crime and Public Order
(Scotland) Bill went into effect April 1, 2024.
In essence is an anti-free speech law hiding behind claiming it is to suppress
hate speech.
Attempting to eliminate hate speech, the law eliminates free speech. If anyone feels another person’s speech is insulting, charges can be filed. Scotland has established 411 snitch centers. As reported in The Spectator:
“The sex shop in question is an LGBTQ-friendly establishment in Glasgow’s Merchant City. It is a ‘third-party reporting centre’ set up by Police Scotland to make it easier to accuse someone of hate crime. There will be 411 of these snitching centres across Scotland located everywhere from mushroom farms to caravan sites. Trans activists across the land will be able to accuse JK Rowling, 24/7, of being a transphobe.”
Apparently snitching is in Scotland’s history. Bill O’Reilly’s book: “Killing the Witches,”
notes this early Scottish snitching. In
the 1500’s people snitched on others as being a witch, and one accused was
burned at the stake.
Sad part the United Kingdom (Scotland is a part of) is the birthplace of the Magna Carta. This document protected many freedoms and used by America’s Found Fathers. Now freedoms are under assault in part of the United Kingdom.
Note: The British spell: centre, while in the USA: center.
