New Jersey Governor Chris Christie
ask a reporter
"Are you stupid?"
The outspoken and refreshing Republican governor of New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie was holding a press conference in Monmouth County (New Jersey) addressing a water main break. Around 185,000 residents in 22 towns were affected and advised to boil their water.
Governor Christie held a press conference where the media was advised to stay on topic about the water main break. Naturally the media ignored that request because it was made by a Republican. Causing the Governor to ask and refer to the offending reporter:
“Are you stupid?”
“I’m sorry for the idiot over there.”
It is wonderful to have a politician admonish the news media for their rude and disruptive behavior. It is also selective by the news media since rarely do they treat a Democratic politician with disrespect.
Of course the news media is furious with the Governor for not succumbing to this rude reporter.
