Tax money wasted, a small example

Here is a small example of government wasting tax money.  This one is on the municipal level, a small town in Dallas County, Texas, USA.

One of three trees in a traffic median (traffic island) is dead.  Before the city sent out a crew to cut down the dead tree they first sent a person or crew to identify the dead tree.  Once identified the truck of the tree was painted blue.  This blue paint was to help the crew identify which of the three trees is the dead one.

Never mind the one dead tree was easy to identify because it was the only tree of the three tress that had no leaves, it was bare.   This wasted expenditure was on the city level, one can only imagine the waste on the county, state, and federal levels.
