Further proof a free press is dead in the USA

President Bush enters The White House press room and the Washington Press Corps remains seated. President Obama enters The White House press room and the Washington Press Corps stands up. A glowing example that impartiality in the American news media is nothing but a hallucination

A major news network evening news anchor interviews President Obama in The White House. As this anchorman leaves, he bows to President Obama. Similar to the bow performed by President Obama when he met with the King of Saudi Arabia on a recent European trip.

The news media rises and bows for the 21st century presidential Messiah thus eliminating any pretext of a free, independent, and impartial press. The news media in this country to deeply rooted in the Democratic Party and invested in a successful Obama administration.

Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh use to refer to the American news media as the drive by media. He now refers to the news media in the United States of America (USA) as the "government control state run media." Not because the government has taken over the news media. But because the news media has surrendered itself to this present administration.

The American Founding Fathers inserted into the United States Constitution the first then amendments called The Bill of Rights. The first amendment reads:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The part protecting a free press was included because they believed in order to have a healthy representative democracy the citizenry need to be well informed. With that they believe this could only be accomplished if the press was free of government control and regulation. This is known as a constitutional mandate given to the news media.

Looking at the news medias present behavior with this administration it can be said the news media forfeited their constitutional responsibility.
