Notre Dame invites ardent pro-abortionist President Obama to commencement exercise

The Roman Catholic university Notre Dame in Indiana has invited President Barack Obama to speak at their commencement exercise on May 17, 2009, and receive an honorary degree. President Obama who supports abortion, late term abortions, infanticide, and embryonic stem cell research, runs afoul of Roman Catholic teachings.

To date out of all the Roman Catholic Bishops and Cardinals in the United States of America (USA), only four have public spoken out to express their displeasure. They are:

Bishop John DArcy of Fort Wayne / South Bend diocese in Indiana. Notre Dame is within this diocese and the Bishop said he would not be attending this commencement.

Bishop Thomas Olmsted of the Phoenix, Arizona diocese.

Bishop Gregory Aymond of the Austin, Texas diocese.

Cardinal Daniel Cardinal DiNardo of the Galveston / Houston, Texas diocese.

Where are all the other Bishops and Cardinal in the United States on this issue? It is apparent we the lay people of the Catholic Church must write a letter to the Holy Father in the Vatican. Here is the Pope's address:

His Holiness Benedict XVI
Apostolic Palace
00120 Via del Pellegrino
Citta del Vaticano

(do not write Italy on the envelop)

Cost of postage: $2.55 US.

Dear Sir, I commend your upholding principles of decency. Making known to Catholic laity and exarches of good will that Notre Dame University is destroying itself as a Catholic Institution. In honouring a president, who despite fine economic policies, upholds nefarious morality regarding pregnant women and their families. I originally found your blog to tell you that I have viewed one of your youtube videos and was most pleased with its statements. I come from similar background as you. The video is about the Catholic Church Priests who committed sexual abuse. I have thought to myself and said to others many times similar words to your own in the video. I fully agree that there was a small yet siginicant proportion of homosexuals who became priests and did not resist their urges to sin. I also want you to know that I am of a liberal/democratic background and that there are good moral bones left among people like myself. People repulsed by both the major US political parties. As I looked at your profile I can see that you are a controversial figure here. Despite anything you say that is either bad or good, I want you to know that I think this particular video was spectacular and among the more intellectual people out there will be recognized as being greatly valuable and truthful wisdom.

I also encourage you to investigate a more purely catholic "Serenissima Repubblica" constitutional monarchical political ideaology which is detached from either modern left or right wing of our "enlightenment philosophe" based government.
