Japanese Sumo wrestlers murdered and get a suspended sentence

Three Japanese sumo wrestlers were given a suspended sentence for their participation in murdering a 17 year old sumo wrestler with a baseball bat. Per an article reported in the Japanese newspaper The Asahi Shimbun and supported by various world news organizations.

The day before the murder, the stable master hit the child in the head with a bottle. Apparently the sumo wrestlers must be grouped into something called a stable and the master trainer is referred to as a stable master. The next day this same stable master ordered the three other sumo wrestlers to beat upon this child, and they did so with a baseball bat. Thus causing the child to die of a heart attack. Judge Masaharu Ashizawa gave the three a suspended sentence after they were found guilty. At a later date the stable master is facing charges related to the incident.

I agree with your points. They should all go to jail.

But the same time it would have been a macho and farthery attitude for the stable master to at least defend and try to take all the blame off of those who have beaten up the boy. His statement was rather disappointing on that account.
